When we earn a commission, we say so — and it never changes an evidence rating.
What affiliate links look like
Where a genuine affiliate relationship exists, links to that product may be affiliate links. The page will carry a visible disclosure. Where no affiliate relationship exists, we say so plainly rather than inventing one.
What affiliate relationships do not affect
- Our evidence ratings — these are determined by the underlying research, not by commercial terms.
- Whether a product is listed at all — products are listed because we have verified a retail listing, not because a commission changes when you buy it.
- Whether a product is ranked as clinically superior — no product is ever ranked that way because it pays us.
What we record
For every affiliate relationship we use, we record the program name, the merchant, the terms, the provenance of those terms, and the date they were last checked. Where terms are only known from a search snippet, that is labelled rather than presented as verified.
No fabricated links
We never create an affiliate URL for a product where no affiliate relationship exists. We never claim a commission that is not in place.
Transparency over optimisation
The reader comes first. A product is recommended because the evidence supports it, not because the commission is higher. Where a product is included in a buying guide primarily because it is widely available, that is stated.
